As one of the oldest and most traditional Brazilian Bars in London we are thrilled to have you join us for a sensational journey filled with the flavours, rhythms, and energy of Brazil. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a pre-theater meal at a reasonable price and food that is something you don't have every day.Welcome to our vibrant Brazilian restaurant in London. The "family style" rice and beans was an excellent bonus. My friends all got the steak with onions and everyone was very pleased. My branzini fish was excellent, a whole boned fish broiled perfectly with delicious sides. Our waiter turned out to be the one who I spoke to on the phone and he was wonderful, working hard to make up for his mistake even though it was really no big deal we had a very nice table away from the noise and the front door. Apparently the person who took the reservation doesn't usually answer the phone and when we arrived there was a little confusion but the staff did everything they could to make up for that. After reaching the restaurant on the second try I made a reservation for four this past Saturday night, pre-theater. If you are ever in the theater district looking for good food and drinks please stop by and you won't be disappointed.Ĭonfusingly there are two tripadvisor listings for this little gem and one of them has an out of date phone number. We had a chance to meet the owner Bertha, and she was just as nice as everybody else in that place. ![]() We had the coconut flan or manjar and the passion fruit mousse, which is one of my favorite desserts. For dessert, which I can't even believe we were able to eat after eating so much, was just as good. Yes, we did order their whole selection of caipirinhas, and one was better than the other. We tried the coconut, strawberry, lime and passion fruit. The portion was big, each plate could feed two people. For our main entrée we had the feijoada, because you can't go to a Brazilian restaurant and not have the feijoada, and the costeleta de porco, which is also a Brazilian tradition. Pao de queijo, mandioca frita e linguica and the camarao. The menu is very authentic and the price is reasonable, It was hard not to order everything on the menu. It is a brand new place (less than a year old) on 9th ave. Samba Kitchen Bar is on my top 3 restaurants in New York City. ![]()
